Nazan: We are already used to this kind of footage...Tokio Hotel Germany's Export Number 1...now they have been awarded with Platin in Athens..and of course even there they couldn't hardyly save themselves of screaming fans. But who have thought it...that just the beloved Twins, Bill and Tom Kaulitz got bullied at school. Their stepfather even had to pick them up from school, to keep them from trashing. For the first time they talked to my colleg Eva Kreutz about their most difficult period in their life


Speaker: Until now their childhood was a treasured secret. Never before we have been so close to the Twins. Bill and Tom have always been inseparable, which became a bit later their problem.

Bill: I guess...this has also influcened it..that we looked for a while totaly the same...and then it started...yes...that we relatively quickly wanted to put on our own style...

Speaker: The Twins devolped their unique own style, which had appealed to their east-german home Loitsche far from good.

Tom: Ey...he has red bootlace...you bloody communist

Speaker: Their classmates didn't leave them alone..even their family was in fear for them

Bill: Very often our stepfather had to pick us up...with the dog and a baseball bat

Tom:Also in the morning...in the schoolbus...there have always been some batteries..nobody cares about the other...it was truely a cold mood

Bill: At such moments we had been incredibly happy to have eachother....that we had always been together...so nobody could snap us somewhere alone...

Speaker: But not only the classmates had been cold-shouldering Bill....

Bill: There were some teachers, who said to me...I don't teach you the way you look....You are not allowed to go to the gym class pierced and with makeup .

Tom: We have never shown them, that this was a tough time for us. On the face of it...we have always been very strong and dominant. We have never allowed them to get us down....

Speaker: Todays success prove them right. Meanwhile their look has become some kind of signature....Their expierences of getting bullied have shaped them...and keep them on the ground even in this very succesful times

Bill: At such moments...you realize how huge this is...and then you are sometimes out of breath...it is like..that i already think....

Speaker: Either you love or you hate them...The Tokio Hotel boys had to learn this very early..nevertheless they don't want to spoil their success..finally they have struggeld for it for years.

Nazan: Tommorrow at 22.15 in 100% Tokio Hotel on Rtl you could see more and similar serious insides of the Magdeburger..
